You shouldn't dread family photos every year, they're supposed to be fun! A fun, carefree experience with a lot of laughter is what I try to create for you family. No matter if it's an extended family session or just the dogs + kids, capturing the moments with all the joy and smiles is my goal!

There are a ton of ways to make your family session fun, but here are two easy ways to make fun for everyone involved:

CHOOSE A LOCATION YOU LOVE!

If your family is into cattle, let's do it in a field with your cattle in the background. Do you have a favorite park or garden that you like to take walks in? That's perfect! Do you want your dogs, cattle, chicks, goats, etc involved? Sign me up! I've learned that when including all these factors and small children, the best places are places they are familiar with. That will help eliminate stress that a new environment brings!

COMFORTABLE CLOTHES!

Feel good, look good. This will help everyone in your session smile and not grumble about having to stand there for photos! If you aren't a dress wearing type and your husband gripes about wearing a jacket, then ditch those outfits and wear something that you all will be comfortable in! Don't forget about comfortable shoes! Being uncomfortable in your clothes will show in the photos and will add stress to the session. Choosing something that you are comfortable, yet confident in will bring out your natural smile and keep everyone happy!
